Received an sms from Anna today, "Wow, your ger can write 1 2 3 in Chinese le!"
What a wonderful teacher and sister-in-law we have in Anna. Suddenly I dawned upon me that one day and quite soon, Thaleia has to depend on herself and join a school soon. No more mummy by the side, no more Ah Ma or Auntie Anna or Dadday by her side but it will be a group of friends and teachers surrounding her instead. No more a baby.

讲华语运动
Recently, David made an observation. Thaleia would give us quite a blank look when we start to speak to her in Chinese. So the campaign is on. Mummy is in charge of speaking Mandarin and reading Mandarin storybooks while Daddy does the English.
How Day 1 of the 讲华语运动 ended:

If only there were more Mandarin stories available in boardbook versions. That would save us some scotch tape.
